I'm back in Montreal, preparing for the next block of filming for Avec ou sans cash . But I still have several short, spontaneous videos to share with you, shot during the shooting block 1.
So here's my discovery of the historic neighborhood of San Salvador, in El Salvador, a country that has endured years of misery and is trying to emerge from it. I'm well aware that President Bukele's brutal methods are controversial, but I can only share what I saw and felt there. We had no state surveillance; we were completely free to move and act as we pleased. El Salvador remains a free country, despite the government's authoritarian tendencies and the brutal crackdown on street gangs that terrorized the country for decades.
I'd be happy to discuss the country's political situation with you in the comments, but the video is only about this first day of filming as a television director. :)
